The machine (20) has a frame (24), a sachet driving mechanism (21), and a sachet heating device, where the driving mechanism comprises an upper belt (48) and a lower belt (49). An upper guidance bar (50) ensures guidance of a lower rectilinear portion of the upper belt. A lower guidance bar (51) ensures guidance of an upper rectilinear portion of the lower belt such that the two rectilinear portions are plated one against the other. The belts are compressed between the two guidance bars when a set of faces of a fastener is in an unlocked state. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a thermo-welding machine.
