摘要

New composite materials based on polytetrafluoroethylene with filler in the form of nanosized silica for use in metal-polymer frictional units of mechanical engineering products are developed and studied. The possibilities of improving the wear resistance of polytetrafluoroethylene while maintaining a relatively low Young's modulus by introducing of nanosized silica as well as the complex filler containing silica and micro-sized cryptocrystalline graphite are shown. The additional factor of increasing of the wear resistance of investigated PTFE nanocomposites is the volumetric limitation of thermal expansion during the thermal processing of workpieces.
