Turkish suppliers push for higher flat steel prices

Demand for Turkish sheets and coils is still sluggish. Nevertheless, domestic producers raised quotations last week to cause some rush. However, despite low stocks, local traders continue buying the material only for urgent needs as they believe suppliers will fail to put through the increase. At the same time, pipe producers have replenished their stocks only recently mainly with import feedstock, so they adopt waiting positions now.
