This study evaluated The Transporters, ananimated series designed to enhance emotion comprehen-sion in children with autism spectrum conditions (ASC).n = 20 children with ASC (aged 4-7) watched The Trans-porters everyday for 4 weeks. Participants were testedbefore and after intervention on emotional vocabulary andemotion recognition at three levels of generalization. Twomatched control groups of children (ASC group, n = 18 andtypically developing group, n = 18) were also assessedtwice without any intervention. The intervention groupimproved significantly more than the clinical control groupon all task levels, performing comparably to typical controlsat Time 2. We conclude that using The Transporters sig-nificantly improves emotion recognition in children with ASC. Future research should evaluate the series' effective-ness with lower-functioning individuals.
