This study aimed at evaluating the sloshing motion of the fluid inside a two-dimensional rectangular tank installed with single baffle or two baffles. Parametric studies were performed for three parameters - the position of baffles, the orientation of baffles, and the number of baffles. In this paper, a numerical methodology using the cell-centered pressure-based algorithm and the level set method for determining the sloshing motion of fluid in a two dimensional rectangular tank with a baffle or two baffles has been developed. The results obtained from this study indicated that the magnitude of impact resulting from sloshing motion excited by the resonant frequency is determined by the number, the position, and the orientation of baffles placed in the tank. It is concluded that the numerical methodology developed and the numerical results obtained from this study can help the engineers and researchers to determine the impact of the sloshing motion on the rectangular tank under consideration.
