SYNTHESIS OF THE 37-epi-HIJ RING SYSTEM OF ADRIATOXIN

摘要

A stereoselective synthesis of the 37-epi-HIJ ring system of adriatoxin,a diarrheic shellfish toxin of mussels,was achieved.The present synthesis involves installation of the tertiary alcohol structure of the I ring via a spiro-epoxide and subsequent formation of the J ring dihydropyran followed by the stereoselective oxidation of an enolic double bond and sulfation of an anomeric hydroxy group.
