The incidence of osteoporosis in men increases with age, with almost one-Third of men in their sixties affected. Fragility fractures in men are a major healthcare concern worldwide. Although treatment options for men with osteoporosis have increased over recent years, further studies in men are needed to evaluate the effects of new and established antiresorptive and anabolic drugs on bone mineral density and fracture risk.
