Synthesis of α-aminonitriles catalyzed by montmorillonite K10 in the presence of dicationic phosphonium salt in water under ultrasonic effect

The synthesis of a-aminonitriles was successfully accomplished by the 1-pot 3-component reaction of several aldehydes with (S) — α-phenylethylamine and sodium cyanide in water in the presence of montmorillonite K10 and dicationic phosphonium salt under ultrasonic effect with good yields and moderate diastereoselectivities.
