Record rainfalls dropped a deluge of water in Iowa, Wisconsin and other parts of the Midwest in the late spring. Cities like Cedar Rapids, Iowa, suffered record floods with water more than twice as high as the 12 ft. flood stage. Homes, businesses and government buildings were filled with water up to the second floor and everyone was seeking a way to get the water out.
