Christmas is upon us once again, and for most it's a welcome chance to wind down and have a jolly time with family and friends, eating, drinking and making merry. Not too merry, though, if you know you have to drive somewhere soon afterwards. Christmas can be a bit of a minefield for those who enjoy a glass or two of something alcoholic, but have to be ever mindful of those car keys temporarily parked in a pocket or bag during the festivities. But none of us would want to remember this Christmas for all the wrong reasons - as the time when a roadside encounter with the cops led to a few unhappy hours in a police station, a New Year trip to court, and some enforced time away from the driving seat.
