With the aim of tackling engine and propulsion train shock and vibration problems as a total system, German flexible couplings specialist Vulkan Kupplungsund Getriebebau GmbH has entered a collaboration with Italian anti-vibration mountings specialist De Martini Research. Operating under the banner Vulkan-DMR and based in Celle ligure on the Italian Riviera, the venture offers a range of products and services for both marine and industrial systems broadly complementing Vulkan's extensive range of flexible couplings for engine flywheels and shaft-to-shaft connections. A wide range of standard products is offered that can be readily modified to meet specific application demands, the company stated.
