Ichthys LNG on track to deliver gas by year-end 2016

Inpex announced that the Ichthys project is on track to deliver first gas by the end of 2016, Rigzone reported. The project's first steel cutting has commenced, with work now underway at the project's semi- submersible platfrom conducted by Samsung Heavy Industries. The platform will have a peak gas export rate of 1.657 bcf/d, making it the largest of its kind in the world.
