Qatargas export prospects remain promising

Speaking at the Singapore International Energy Week, Qatargas CEO Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani said that demand for clean and flexible energy sources from fast-growing economies like China and India are encouraging for the future of LNG exports. In 2012, Asia imported about 170 million tonnes of LNG, and over the next three years China alone will open new LNG import terminals that will increase the country's capacity by 23 million t/y.
