Bangladesh bids regas terminal

Bangladesh has shortlisted four international companies to build a 5 million tonne a year regasification terminal at Moheshkhali Island, Platts reported Dec. 29, citing statements by Petrobangla chairman Hussain Monsur. Bermuda-based Golar LNG Energy, a consortium that consists of U.S.-based Astra Oil and Excelerate Energy, South Korea's Samsung C&T. Corporation and India's Hiranandani Electricity will have until January 2012 to submit bids, for the regasification terminal in the Bay of Bengal.
