WorleyParsons to conduct studies on South Africa LNG import facility

WorleyParsons will conduct a feasibility study followed by a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study on an LNG import facility in Mossel Bay, South Africa, Sanews.gov. za reported. PetroSA is looking to import LNG to supplement dwindling gas reserves that feed its gas-to-liquids (GTL) facility. The proposed terminal will be a floating LNG facility. It will comprise a breakwater and berth structure allowing the permanent mooring of a Floating, Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) to supply vaporized LNG into a pipeline leading to the GTL refinery.
