On the anniversary of his election as ICNDT Chairman, Douglas j Marshall is more than satisfied with the progress that has been made by the International Committee for Non-Destructive Testing (ICNDT) in its endeavours towards fulfilling the objectives laid down at the last world conference in Montreal in 2004. In particular he is impressed with the efforts of representatives throughout the world in taking the organisation forward and culminating in ICNDT becoming an officially recognised global body in the field of nondestructive testing. The new ICNDT Operating Policies and Procedures - first drafted at the 2000 world conference in Rome - have been reviewed, amended and supplemented following meetings of the ICNDT Executive and Policy and General Purposes Committee (PGP) in Albuquerque, USA in the Spring of this year.
