Making sense of the many mowers on the market

With silage time rapidly approaching, we take a look at the different types of mowers on offer and provide a detailed list of the models and prices from the major manufacturers. With so many mowers to choose from, it can be initially confusing when trying to work out what is actually on offer. However, there are only two main types of mower sold widely these days, drum or disc, with both types being offered in trailed and mounted forms. The largest drum machines, in single rather than a combination of units, are just over 3.0m wide, with the disc alternatives reaching up to 5.0m.
