In 1985, Adam emigrated to Canada from South-west Scotland with his parents, Morton and Marian. Now married to Lois, Adam and his family farm 256ha near Swan River, Manitoba, where they run 60 dairy cows, 40 sucklers and followers. We're short of heifers this year. Actually, it seems like we're short of heifers every darn year. We've managed to buy 10 fairly close to home (for us) -Super Morton and The Boss have made two trips to a fellow 250km from here. There's nobody dairying north of us, so ya gotta go south. Our nearest dairy cattle market is four hours south in Brandon.
