Measuring safety: How knowledge transfer supported an industry-wide safety initiative in Ontario mines

The Mines and Aggregates Safety and Health Association (MASHA) supported the Ontario mining industry as it undertook a massive survey to measure the internal responsibility system across the industry. MASHA's involvement as facilitator and communicator allowed the association a bird's eye view of the knowledge-transfer process. This article summarizes the association's observations.
