Alberta's current natural gas liquids extraction convention on the NOVA Gas Transmission Limited (NGTL) system should be replaced within the next three years by the NEXT receipt point convention proposed by NGTL.This model would provide producers/receipt shippers placing gas on the NGTL system with NGL extraction rights. The decision concludes a lengthy inquiry launched by the former Alberta Energy and Utilities Board in June 2007. It included both a written and oral portion.
