摘要

In recent years there has been a considerable research on the development of indoor positioning systems. Several kinds of technologies were utilized such as ultrasonic, UWB, WLAN and hybrid based solutions. However, these systems encounter many difficulties in indoor environmen ts such as multipath effects, signal obstruction and noises. In this contribution an indoor positioning system is presented and its performance is evaluated for W and 2D positioning tests. The presented DC magnetic signal based system shows no special multipath effects and has excellent characteristics for penetrating various obstacles. In result, localization is possible even in harsh indoor environments.
