Cyanothioacetamide and its derivatives in Heterocyclic Synthesis: A New Route for the Synthesis of Several Pyridine and Thieno [2, 3-b] pyridine Derivatives and their Biological Evaluation

摘要

Several new pyridine and thieno [2, 3-b] pyridine derivatives were synthesized via the reactions of some pyridinethiones, obtained by the action of acetylacetone on some thiocarbox-amidocinnamonitriles, with halogenated esters and ketones. Structures were established based on elemental and spectral data. All the synthesized compounds were tested for their biological activity.
