This contribution presents relevant full-scale experience accumulated with utilization of the method of calculation of the incomplete total costs of the individual heats at operative control of steelmaking in the EAFs, the LF, the VD/VOD equipment and at steel casting into ingots. It deals also with training of the furnace staff. Moreover, attention is devoted to utilization of the compilation describing in detail the daily results of steelworks in itemization as per the individual working teams, furnaces and the steelworks in total.
