AZ31 magnesium alloy wires after the isothermal extrusion process carried out by the KOBO method in two variants, namely with additional cooling after extrusion (Variant II) and with static cooling (Variant I), were subjected to the cold multi-stage drawing pro-cess, while applying interstage heat treatment. The wires were tested for mechanical properties in each of the states of strain under analysis. The main purpose of the work was to determine the effect of the method of cooling after extrusion on the drawing process. Observations of the development of material microstructure during the drawing process were also made using an optical microscope.
