Food, Inc., the movie: a review.

Every few years, a film is produced that exquisitely depicts the integral relationship between the well-being of human beings and care of their environment, as well as the urgent need for policies that protect both. Food, Inc., a 93-minute documentary produced in 2008, is such a film. Filmmaker Robert Kenner has exposed the collusion between "big Farma," including companies that produce seeds, fertilizers, and drugs used in meat production, food processing companies, and regulatory agencies such as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to promote profits at the expense of the health of consumers, respect for environmental capacity and sustainability, the safety of food industry workers, and the livelihoods of family farmers.
