LOI TO SUPPLY ROTARY-HEARTH CARBURISERS TO VOLKSWAGEN

Volkswagen AG has awarded LOI Thermprocess GmbH a contract for two rotary-hearth gas carburising furnaces with zone separation for its Salzgitter plant. Each of the furnaces is to be used for carburising some 2500 intake and exhaust camshafts, with a length of 430mm, per day.Each furnace will have a diameter of 8m and will consist of heating, carburising and hardening zones, separated by intermediate doors.
