Medulloblastoma is the most frequent paediatric malignant brain tumour, yet its prognostic factors remain unestablished. A prognostic role for c-erbB-2 in medulloblastoma has recently been demonstrated in a few studies.Gilbertson et al. have also implicated c-erbB-4 receptors in the pathogenesis of medulloblastoma, mainly when it is coexpressed with c-erbB-2.5 In this study, we have evaluated the expression of c-erbB-4 in 50 cases of medulloblastoma. In addition, we have analysed its correlation with c-erbB-2 expression, prognosis, age and histological type of medulloblastoma.
