Synthesis and Investigation of the Luminescent Properties of Complexes of Europium Ions with Pyridyl-Containing Polymer Ligands

摘要

Donor–acceptor complexes of ions of rare earth elements (REE) with organic compounds possess strongly pronounced photo- and electroluminescent properties [1, 2]. Their intense luminescence appears in a narrow spectral region, position of which depends on the lanthanide nature. For example,Eu3+complexes show red;Tb3+, green luminescence [1]. The application of the luminescent properties of such complexes in photophysical and optical processes and in devices is of undeniable interest. Practical implementation of the potential of the complexes is determined by their functional properties (in particular, the intensity and stability of their luminescence) and is associated with the preparation of materials suitable for the manufacturing of elements of optical devices on their basis. In tackling these problems, special attention has been paid to polymer systems containing luminescent metal complexes [2–9].
