BUSINESS drivers have collision rates that are 30% to 40% higher than those of private drivers, with speeding, driver distraction and negligence at the wheel being the main contributing factors. Of the three million company cars on Britain's roads, roughly one-third each year will be involved in an accident. The growing focus on work drivers' safety is reflected in the launch at this year's Expo of a new education area to showcase best practice in all areas of business driver protection.
