Scientific and technological problems of the hydropower industry after the accident at the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydropower plant

The main technological causes of the accident at the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydropower plant are considered, and directions of the scientific support of the plant's restoration are determined in this article. In the opinion of the authors, a safety system similar to those at other large power-generating and industrial facilities should be quickly developed and introduced in the plant's operation.
