The year 1917 in Russian history

There are only two countries in the world that can boast five centuries of continuous sovereign history. They are England and Russia. Contrary to the popular perception, our country is one of the most resilient in the world. Only four times in its history, i.e., during the invasion of the Mongols, in the Time of Trouble, in 1917, and in 1991, has it broken down. During these periods the state disintegrated, immersed into bloody civil conflicts, was looted by foreign forces, but in the end it revived again as a great power.
