Following the recent and highly successful Europump General Assembly in Antalya, Turkey (see page 4), World Pumps editor Alan Burrows caught up with Paolo Marinovich, President of Europump. World Pumps (WP): Let's start off by talking about the Ecopump energy-saving initiative. Paolo Marinovich (PM): Ecopump is an umbrella label that we are using to describe all the initiatives that Europump, or its member associations and their member companies, will carry out in the area of studying, educating the various stakeholder audiences and disseminating a culture of energy efficiency. It is not a label that we will envisage making mandatory for any products or any services, but one that will describe Europump's commitment to be proactive in this area.
