Akzo Nobel acquires US protective coatings firm Ceilcote

Akzo Nobel has acquired the protective coatings business Ceilcote from the German-based KCH Group for approximately euro 12m.Ceilcote is a major international brand used to coat concrete and steel structures,particularly in the petrochemical and power industries.The business specialises in high performance,polymer-based corrosion control solutions for both new construction and maintenance projects.Mining,wastewater and chemical processing are also markets served by Ceilcote,which was established in Cleveland,Ohio,in 1926.
