Boardwalk, Williams to form NGL pipeline j.v.

The two companies will jointly develop a natural gas pipeline project intended to move product from the US Utica and Marcellus shale plays to petrochemical production and export markets in the Northeast and Gulf Coast. The 200K-b/d Bluegrass Pipeline will move natural gas liquid (NGL) from production areas in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio to yet-to-be-constructed fractionation and storage facilities connected to further pipelines and petrochemical facilities in Texas and Louisiana. According to Williams CEO Alan Armstrong, "We are designing Bluegrass Pipeline to provide these two world-class resource plays with access to one of the largest and most dynamic petrochemical markets in the world.
