In July, China reduced the amount of oil it sources from Iran by 30% from year-ago levels to 456,342 b/d. Imports also dropped 25.8% compared to June levels of 574,078 b/d. Previously, China had resumed imports of Iranian crude in May after Sinopec and the National Iranian Oil Corp. (NIOC) settled a pricing dispute that emerged during the 1Q. Over the first seven months of 2012, imports of Iranian crude into China declined by 22% from the same period in 2011 to 92.7MM bbl.
