Nominations through the Tunisian-Sicily stretch of the Transmed pipeline from Algeria, which normall provides roughly 25% of Italy's gas supply, were down some 44% Tuesday from end-week levels ?although it is not yet clear precisely how much gas actually flowed through the pipeline. This hits less than a month after the Dec. 24 enc of a disruptive five-month outage on the smaller Transitgas pipeline that feeds the Italian market from the North (WGI Jan.5,p5).
