Asia Price Premium Widens on Continued Japanese Demand

LNG spot prices in the Mediterranean took a nosedive over the last week, as low trading activity in the region seemed to finally take its toll, while Asia prices edged up on moderate Japanese demand. Southwest Europe prices fell 550 over the last week to $9.50 per million Btu, while the Northeast Asia price was up 150 to $14.65, according to WGI assessments from Monday for spot cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks out.
