Asia Price Premium Widens, as Spanish LNG Demand Falters

The premium for Spot LNG in Asia over Southwest Europe widened slightly over the last week, as strong price quotes from sellers for December deliveries continue to prop up the Asian market, while ebbing Spanish demand undercuts European sentiment. The Northeast Asian price edged up 50 from last week to $9.70 per million Btu, while the Southwest Europe price dipped 50 to $8.50, according to WGI price assessments from Monday for spot cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks out (see table).
