Japanese upstream firm Inpex last week agreed to sell a 24% stake of its Ichthys field in Western Australia to France's Total,which will leave Inpex with 76%.In mid-August,the Australian government granted "major project facilitation" status to speed up the process of getting full approval for the planned 6 million metric ton/yr (8.3 billion cubic meter per year) Ichthys LNG project.
