An environmental factors-based forecasting method for cephalopod fishing grounds in a sea area in the north west Africa is characterized by comprising the following steps: step 1, obtaining catch production statistical data of cephalopod fishing grounds in a sea area in the north west Africa for multiple years; step 2, obtaining sea environment data corresponding to the catch production statistical data, the sea environment data comprising a sea surface temperature (SST) and a sea surface height anomaly (SSHA); step 3: using the number of operation hauls, an operation production occupation ratio and an average production per haul in each interval as indices of a central fishing ground, and making research on a relationship between the indices and the sea environment data in step 2; and step 4: establishing suitability indices (SIs) of different environmental factors, and computing habitat suitability composite indices (HSIs) in different weight schemes by using an expert assignment method and the different weight schemes, so as to obtain a central fishing ground distribution sea area in the cephalopod fishing grounds in a sea area in the north west Africa, for use in forecasting the central fishing ground.
