SPOT LNG Spot LNG Prices Fall in Asia, Europe on Thin Trade

Northeast Asian spot LNG prices softened a further 150 to $4.20 per million Btu amid thin trading and mounting supply, according to WGI assessments for cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. In Southwest Europe, spot LNG prices were assessed 100 lower at $4.15/MMBtu. The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price was assessed 60 higher at $4.28/MMBtu, while April futures fell 130 to $3.95/MMBtu. Netbacks for Mideast sellers in Asia were 700 higher than in Southwest Europe, while UK/Belgian netbacks were around 800 lower than Asian netbacks.
