The global LNG trading pattern has become more nuanced over just the last week (WGI Apr.23,p6). With the Henry Hub benchmark at around 11 per million Btu, LNG imports have finally topped the 1 billion cubic foot per day (650,000 ton per month) mark and are still rising. The turnaround mainly reflects more BG swing supply to Elba Island, Georgia, where netbacks are nearly 700 above those at its Lake Charles, Louisiana, capacity (see table below).
