US Draws on Storage, EU Keeps in Ground

Arctic weather in the US is pulling more gas out of storage, but in Europe the start of the heating season has led to very limited draws. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported 17 billion cubic feet was pulled from storage in the week ended Nov. 14, bringing working gas inventories to 3.594 trillion cubic feet (101 billion cubic meters). Across the EU, the 17 countries that report data held a combined 75.77 Bcm in underground storage on Nov. 23, which meant that 90.8% of capacity was full.
