The author is the vice-director of Institute of Quantitative and Technical Economics under Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. A series of blue books on China's economic, which is jointly chief-edited by Mr. Liu Guoguang, a famous economist in China, former Deputy president of China Academy of Social Sciences and current adviser of the Academy, and Mr. Li Jingwen, director of the Research Institute of Quantitative and Technical Economics was published by the Publishing House of China Academy of Social Sciences in December 1994. The series of blue books had its first book published in 1990 and since then had one of the series published by the end of each year. Now five of the blue books have been published, arousing big repercussions both at home and abroad.
