The Western Chapter's recent 2nd Annual Wild West Shootout carried on the success of the first tournament, with high scores awarded to the event by the 52 golfers who competed for bragging rights at the Sierra Lakes Golf Course, Fontana, California. The Nov. 1 event was hailed as a success equal to the prior year's inaugural outing. Both drew about 50 golfers. "Although the weather was cool and a little cloudy the mood on the course was light," said Filtertech, Inc.'s Lawrence El-Hindi, Western Chapter Secretary. The dead-eye shooters took aim, but none could "drive" away with the par-three hole-in-one prize, a brand new Jeep Wrangler. However, Chris Drabik of Henkel Surface Technologies claimed two other individual awards, including the longest drive and the closest-to-the-pin drive, which landed a scant 5in. from the hole.
