Previously selling direct, Danbury has now appointed its first dealer. Chris Burlace paid a visit, to view Danbury conversions on VWs 'old' and new... SOME YEARS AGO, while it was still being built in Mexico, Chris and Jason Jones of Bristol-based Beetles UK brought the air-cooled Beetle back to Britain. Then, in 1998, they added the classic Type 2 Bay-window, still built in Brazil, to their line-up. To complete a hat-trick of reappearances, they next bought the Danbury name, to adorn their motorcaravan conversions. Danbury, along with Devon and Dormobile, was one of the 'Big Three' VW Camper manufacturers of 40 years ago.
