Anything is truly possible if you band together, set common goals, and go about things undeterred. " So says Robin Sereno, BS, CVT, and she would know. As cofounder of the Academy of Internal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians (AIMVT) and president-elect of the organizing body in 2005, Robin knows firsthand what it takes to make dreams happen. In the mid-1990s, after working in the business world for several years, Robin changed career tracks and set her sights on becoming a veterinary technician. She aimed high, got her certification, and is now the Technician Supervisor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Add in membership in numerous technician organizations, some serious volunteer work, and sheer persistence, and you begin to see why Robin thinks the sky's the limit in both her personal and professional life.
