TREATMENT OF ALLERGIC DERMATITIS USING IMMUNOTHERAPY: A Team Approach

Pets with allergic dermatitis come into the veterinary practice on a regular basis. A golden retriever presents with an ear infection, a Persian cat cannot stop pulling out its hair, or perhaps a terrier has a persistent itch. On any given day, one of every five animals brought into a veterinary clinic has some form of allergic or atopic dermatitis. In fact, it is estimated that up to 30% of the canine population has atopic dermatitis.
