In a number of cases, use of a centrifugal field increases the flotation rate and the specific productivity of centrifugal-flotation machines [1-3]. Tests on centrifugal flotation machines indicate that the beneficiation efficiency for the finest classes of minerals is not worsened in these apparatus [4, 5]. At the beneficiation plant of the Sredneural'sk copper smelter, industrial tests were made on a centrifugal pneumohydraulic flotation machine with a 3.5 m~3 volume - the TsPFM-3.5 [6]. Unlike the designs described in [7], this flotation machine organized the yield of concentrate and tailings in a new way. Tests were conducted on the additional flotation of selective tailings from the zinc cycle when processing ore from the Degyarsk deposit over a period of 90 shifts. The intermediate product, obtained on the TsPFM-3.5 flotation machine (see Figure), can be directed both to the recleaning operation together with crude zinc concentrate, as well as the reverse, to the head of the basic zinc flotation.
