Widely employed across the world on medium and heavy-duty trucks, JVS compression release retardation systems are integrated into diesel and natural gas engines produced by most major OEMs and effectively alter the valve timing to turn the power unit into a compressor which absorbs energy - slowing the vehicle and providing drivers with greater control while reducing demand on foundation brakes.
